Rebecca and family

I started donating milk after struggling to breastfeed when my little girl was born. I had a large oversupply of milk and every time she tried to feed it was just becoming stressful for us both. I started expressing for her and realised I had enough milk to feed a small army of babies! My husband suggested I do some research to see of there was any way of donating it and that’s when I found the North West Human Milk Bank. It was so easy to sign up and I was so impressed with how they send you everything you need to become a donor. So far we’ve donated 25 litres over the last 5 months and I hope to continue for as long as I am allowed. It fills me pride thinking how many babies in need I have been able to help on my breastfeeding journey.
